Install your eSIM
A step-by-step guide to prepare your phone for a future BaoBao eSIM purchase.
1. Check your device
Confirm that your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Keep your existing SIM active if you need it for calls or verification codes.
2. Connect to Wi-Fi
Installation normally requires internet access. When a plan is available, follow the instructions included with that exact eSIM.
3. Install on iPhone
Open Settings → Cellular or Mobile Data → Add eSIM. Use a QR code on another screen or choose the manual entry option when activation details are supplied. Menu names differ by iOS version.
4. Install on Android
Open Settings → Network & internet or Connections → SIMs or SIM manager → Add eSIM. Scan the supplied QR code or enter the manual activation details if your device offers that option. Menu names vary by maker.
5. Turn on data
Select the travel eSIM for mobile data and enable data roaming if the purchased plan requires it. Avoid deleting the eSIM until its plan terms confirm you can reinstall it. Check your device's data line before you travel.
One-phone installation
If you have one phone, use manual activation details supplied with your order when supported by the network and device. Not every supplier supports manual entry, so check the specific plan before purchase.
